DATO’ DR. GEOFFREY TAN
Dato’ Dr. Geoffrey Tan is the Chairman of the Pascal Maritime Group of companies. Dr. Tan is involved in diverse businesses: financial services, property development, hospitality, oil palm plantations, maritime industries, and infrastructures in Malaysia and several other countries.
With more than 30 years of hands-on experience in business and possessing acute business vision, Dr. Tan is at the helm steering Pascal Maritime Group in its mission to become a leading maritime services provider in Asia and Africa.
Dr. Tan is a Chartered Accountant. He received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, and completed his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Finance with the University of Malaya.
MOHAMED SHAIHAN LAFIR
Shaihan Lafir is the President / CEO of the Pascal Maritime Group of companies. Shaihan started his career in maritime and trading companies owned by his family in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Shaihan has more than 15 years’ of experience spanning commercial ship management, liner shipping, break-bulk and project cargo, liquid bulk, marine-fuel bunkering and specializes in service delivery.
Shaihan is a member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, United Kingdom and holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom.
DR FOLK JEE YOONG
DIRECTOR – GROUP OPERATIONS
Dr Folk is the Director Group Operations of Pascal Maritime Group of companies. He oversees the regional corporate operations of the Group.
Dr Folk Jee Yoong has over 20 years of experience in academia, corporate finance, restructuring, audit and financial management in diversified industries such as mortgage banking, property development, construction, seafood trawling and processing, pulp and paper, jewellery, office furniture, multi-level marketing, plastic injection moulding, timber plantation and processing, hospitality and thermo vacuum forming.
Dr Folk is a Director of several public listed companies including Lion Corporation Berhad, Cybertowers Berhad and AHB Holdings Berhad.
Dr Folk received his Bachelor of Business degree in Accounting and Secretarial Administration from the Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Western Australia, Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Western Australia, Master of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, Doctor of Business Administration from the University of South Australia and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Malaya. He is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He also holds a certificate in Investor Relations from the IR Society, United Kingdom.
CAPT. AHMED ZUBAIR,
Head – Technical
Capt. Ahmed Zubair is a maritime expert and is the Head Technical of Pascal Line. Capt Zubair oversees all the technical aspects of vessels under Pascal Line and coordinates with the various ship management aspects of vessel operations. Capt Zubair has over 32 years of experience, including 30 years of sea-going experience, Ship Management and Operation, Maritime Administration, Maritime Education and Training, Marine Surveying and Consultation. He has been awarded several national awards for his contribution to the maritime sector in the Maldives the most notable has been the National Award of Recognition received from Government of Maldives for outstanding services to Maritime Services (2012)
Capt Zubair is a Fellow of The Nautical Institute (UK), Member of Royal Institute of Navigation (UK), Member of International Federation of Shipmasters’ Association (UK) and He holds a Master (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency from the Australian Maritime Safety Authority, Australia
